A deliciously explicit addition to my collection of early-1900s photographs featuring the incomparable Il Serpente, ‘The snake’ - the most naturally blessed and beautifully, brazenly seductive of all Vincenzo Galdi’s models.
A true and deserved star of early erotic photography, this beautiful model is one of my favourites (indeed, I chose him as the avatar to represent this whole collection). We have seen this sensual photograph by Vincenzo Galdi before, but not so large nor so detailed; do take a closer look at the full size image to fully appreciate such an exquisite man!
A remarkable, raunchy image donated by Ken, who saw my hopes for an unaltered copy of this photograph, but has in fact found an exciting and deeply erotic new addition to my assortment featuring this most virile, voluptuous of models, Il Serpente. It is clearly from the same session, but here Vincenzo Galdi has moved a little closer to dwell on this simply gorgeous young man’s talent - unequalled size and perfection of shape, the firm grip of his tanned fingers, the soft touch of his own lips to tender tip, all up-close and in full detail. Ravishing!
Photographed by Vincenzo Galdi at the end of the 19th century, this portrait in classical style features an early appearance - indeed perhaps the very first! - by a fine young man who would soon find his fame in far more explicit and erotic images; we know him as Il Serpente.
A portrait drawing attention unavoidably to the glorious, unequalled endowment of Galdi’s most famed male model, an Italian beauty nicknamed for one wonderfully obvious reason Il Serpente (The Snake) - so daring at the turn of the last century to publish such things, unashamedly intended to arouse and inspire the most lustful thoughts : a purpose it fulfils fully to this day.
I’d been hoping to find a better copy of this remarkably raunchy bit of erotica from Vincenzo Galdi, but this will just have to do - hopefully the modern edit does not detract too much from the glorious content within! The model is none other than the wondrously well-endowed Il Serpente, take a look at this shot from the same set if you are curious to see his handsome face as well as his quite marvellous aptitude for autofellatio!
One of the undeniably outstanding stars of early erotic photography, known only by his nickname, Il Serpente. Both devastatingly handsome and gloriously well-endowed, with an unequalled aptitude for posing; whether standing alone and unadorned, exquisite in his magnificent masculine beauty, or acting out scenes of salacious sexual encounters which still inspire lustful thought today. First modelling for the rather more innocent nudes of Plüschow, his raw irrepressable sensuality was later immortalised by Vincenzo Galdi in numerous erotic and pornographic photographs. All those I have collected so far can be seen on this tag.
Seeming to take great enjoyment in this deliciously daring photoshoot by Vincenzo Galdi, both models wear smouldering smiles as they act out their desires in the studio; sensual carnal pleasures made all the more intense and erotically exciting by the thought of being captured on camera to inspire lustful thoughts in others of the same tastes.
These two young men from early 20th century Rome have performed for us before, here and here, quite unmistakable and unforgettable : for their scenes, their distinctive striped clothing, and that naturally blessed man’s magnificent endowment!
Even the faintly ridiculous costume cannot detract our attention (nor that, it seems, of the model himself) from the fact this man is magnificently, wondrously, well-endowed. Nicknamed, for obvious reasons, Il Serpente (‘The Snake’), an admiring Vincenzo Galdi employed his talents many a time, the resulting pictures varying from the tastefully artistic to the deliberately pornographic. We’ve even seen him in the extraordinary guise of cigarette-smoking clown before. A true star of early gay erotica.
Shedding his clothing and posing with uninhibited joy, one of the undeniably appealing young men from this photoshoot by Vincenzo Galdi abandons modesty and reveals all for the appreciative eye.
A evocative, erotic photograph which has been attributed to several, though I’d hazard a guess that it is most likely by Galdi - those of you who have been following for a while may find this model familiar - I do believe this could be another photograph of the fine young stud I so adoringly celebrated here.
(I’m afraid I have spent so long looking at these old photographs that I even find the fabrics familiar : that striped sheet is definitely one of Galdi’s favoured set-dressings!)
Masculine perfection from my much-complimented favourite the wonderful Vincenzo Galdi, once again selecting a model of such timelessly beautiful form and casual confidence - I love the contours and curves of his body as he leans easily back against the wall with those long legs outstretched.
An extraordinarily erotic nude by Vincenzo Galdi, early 20th Century, and one of my favourites. Although I’ve shown you this very photograph before, today I had the delightful fortune to discover a much larger copy, and am sure you’ll agree it’s well worth a closer look - click here for the full size as Tumblr is a contrary beastie and many large images don’t display nearly as impressively as they ought.
I’m sorry, sir - your deeply dark seductive come-to-bed eyes, whilst alluring in the extreme, cannot be taken at all seriously when you’re wearing that. One of Vincenzo Galdi’s most sexy and daring models, early 20th Century Rome.
Finding familiar faces in these old photographs is always a joy, especially when the faces are this beautiful. I’ve posted this model once before, there really is a sublime graceful ease to his poses, the elegance of his relaxed hands poised just right without looking forced or stilted. Also a wonderful example of how less is more - we cannot see anything explicit, but this picture still manages to be subtly erotic. By Guglielmo Plüschow, Italy, circa 1900.
